Meccano set #0551 (Tintin 4X4 Jeep) is meant for constructing a Jeep and its manual provides instructions of that model only. Meccano marketed another set, #0552 (Tintin Sea Plane) which offers all necessary parts to construct a Sea Plane. However, I observed that parts offered in set #0551 (Tintin 4X4 Jeep) may be sufficient to construct a small version of a Sea Plane. The outcome is illustrated here along with a photo of all necessary parts for its construction. It may be noted that all parts belong to set #0551, including bolts, nuts, washers, collars, etc.
