Alternate models using parts from Tintin 4X4 Set (Set #0551)
The instruction manual of Tintin 4X4 Jeep set offers instructions to construct only one model - the Jeep itself. Recently, I thought to spend some time with Tintin 4X4 set (#0551) to construct some alternate models, very simple in visual effect. I place fourteen such models here. In some cases, the photo of used parts are also included. Needless to point out that many more models might be constructed from same set of parts. From the designer's point of view, two major restraints of this Tintin 4X4 set are: No axle rod provided, and Pulleys are not perforated radially. Therefore I was forced to compromise in certain models and did little bit of brain-storming regarding how to construct a winch (for the crane model) and similar issues. On the other hand, construction of 4 or 3 or 2 wheeler models are easier with this set as five wheels are readily available in this set.
