Dreadnought Battleship by Tony Homden
At 5/32" to the foot, the 527ft. prototype scales down to just under 7ft. Tony's model was a full hull version, not a waterline model, and weighed around 60lbs.
A Meccano steam engine inside the model drove the four propellers and a mechanism was included to insert and remove the burner by remote control.
All five twin gun turrets could be operated independently from a switch panel in the stand, as could a powered derrick.
Other features included lifeboats and davits and beams to support anti-torpedo netting round the hull.
