This album will update the gears set article I did near on 10 years ago. I have found a few more anomolies that beg a few questions to be asked. Did Meccano limited want to launch the Gears "B" outfit in 1954? along with all the other changes in sets and parts,for example .......I will show that this may have been the case later in this gallery.... The gears set, as a standalone product, was 1st seen in 1949 as part of the postwar effort to get meccano products to market, try new products and regain some of what was lost during the war.... It went thru quite a few iterations over its 30 years as an accessory set. No less than 8 Types can be identified as either changes in the contents and/or changes to the packaging. There may be more, but that is all I can come up with at the moment!
