The year 1934 was a confusing one for meccano WRT the elektron series. Mid year, they apparently split the #1 and #2 sets and deleted the 1a connecting set. This caused the No.1 manual to be wrong in the fact that the reading lamp could be built and didn't include any use for the new parts 1592. 1593 and 1594. They used the printed 1934 dated manuals and put a sticker over the back parts list (dated 1/735/1.4) to denote the deletion of the 1a set. We think this was not done until well into the 1935 season. There was never a No.2 1934 dated manual.
