Hi Malcom, this is essentially going to be a copy of your blue and gold model (based on some photo's of it I saw online - great model by the way). I have made just a few alterations to the base and mid sections. I'm a long way from having the parts to build it for real and making this model will show me just how far! At the moment the model is up to 5400 parts (but that includes 1800 nuts and 1800 bolts).

This is beginning to look remarkably like the one I built in blue and gold (see here: http://www.nzmeccano.com/image-80262&frompage=2) If this is more than a coincidence I shall be intrigued to see how many parts you get up to as I never counted!
