Alan Covel has built yet another large model. This time it was a 1:7 scale model of the Ryan monoplane ‘Spirit of St Louis’, as flown by Lindberg from New York to Paris in 1927.
The model looked superb in pristine yellow-zinc finish parts, built to the very high standard we have come to expect from Alan.
With a wing span of very nearly seven feet it is a large model. Most of the details are carefully modelled and include a realistic sound effect when the propeller is turned by the internal motor.
