Alan's second model being a gear train to convert, I hope I’m right, Sidereal Time to British Mean Time.

I quote Alan on this, Sidereal Day = time stars appear to take to rotate round earth = 23 hours 56 minutes etc., of Solar Time.

Observatories need clocks showing both.

This gear train converts one to the other with accuracy of 1 in 10 to the power of 10
