The manuals for the main sets from 1931 until 1934 were 00 to 4 and 5 to 7. However, this outfit came with this 00 to 3 manual dated April 1930. First thoughts might be this is the wrong manual, however, close examination shows this manual was originally printed for the Canadian market but has had its price and country of intention neatly covered over with red card. It also seems that 13000 of these were originally printed. Had this been a mistake which led to a huge surplus of these manuals that Meccano conveniently tried to get rid of at the end of the dark red/green period? See next picture for more evidence.
