Vale of Rheidol 2-6-2T Loco by Graham Brown
Then operated by British Rail, the 1'.11¾" gauge Vale of Rheidol Railway from Aberystwyth to Devil's Bridge was privatised in 1989. 3 Locos of this design continue to operate today.
Graham, then aged 14, used a PDU to power the model,through a rheostat for speed control. The drivers were all sprung and the pony trucks correctly pivoted. The model ran up and down the track in a very realistic manner.
