1925 Brough Superior SS100
The SS100 was powered by a J.A.P. 980cc twin cylinder engine and fitted with Brough's patented "Castle" forks.
The model incorporates a three speed gear-box with the gear shift lever positioned adjacent to the petrol tank and is connected to the gear-box via rods. The clutch is operated from the handlebars.
The rear brake mechanism is operated by the rider pressing down a pedal with his heel.
The front brake is operated from the handlebars.
Wheels have been constructed using Meccano strips for the rims, bush wheels for the hubs and 1.5mm brass rod for the spokes. The tyres are made from a rubber moulding and super-glued together.
The twin cylinder engine is back driven with a Swiss mini-motor incorporated into the magneto.
Scale: 3.8 to 1
