A wonderful example of a bit of penny pinching from Meccano in this illustration from a brochure published in September 1927. The outfits were by now very definitely dark red and green and the models pictured bear this out. However, the picture of the outfit itself is identical to that which appeared in a brochure of December 1926 when parts were light red and green and nickel. The layout of the top card illustrated here is very similar to that of the three outfits that follow this gallery picture although there has been a little moving around.
