M215 1937 T6A transformer
Nice transformer, shame about the box. However, the box is quite interesting. By 1937 transformers were generally sold without a plug whereas earlier they were sold with a plug for a light socket. This transformer still has the plug fitted and the printing on the top and side of the box to explain why there is no plug has been covered over with plain labels. Presumably the factory still had a few examples with a plug that they wanted rid of. This is one of a series of transformers in this gallery.
