Moveable Gantry Crane (version 2) - Donald Morton
Having completed my model with an external power supply, I thought that such a moveable crane in use on a warehouse floor could have had the traversing carriage manually operated. So, with a hand wheel for the carriage and only the hoist motorized, I was able to use a Meccano 3v battery holder.
The one with the 1975 No. 5 set also provides 3v, but is rather large and has no mounting holes.
