Drive from motor
The original plan has the output from the clockwork motor going via chain to a rod journaled in the diagonal bracing. To get the drive to the gearbox, I extended the input shaft with a coupling to a bracket on the superstructure, as well as changing to a belt and pulley system. Driving the crane is a two-handed effort, one for the selector, one for the motor controls but it works surprising well and the speed ratios are about right.
