NFGC Mk III Receiver ass'y, front view
Improvements: +23mm feed vertical travel, weigh-in at 1335 grams (less base plate) due to stiffness improvements, black chromed M4 12.9 Allen screws w dual nuts throughout. Tightening these makes thread-shred of plain 8.8 nuts real simple. -Any Bucketeer out there with a spare 1/4" socket torque wrench to sell? // Decided to stick with the cheap, simple and idiot-proof feed mechanism on top (instead of frillsy Arduino-controlled stepper/ worm feed), as chip rate & thickness is fairly constant independently of # of teeth and face width of gear/ pinion. So why bother with bells and whistles?
