You will get more and better results by using two or more words.  You can prefix a word with a plus or minus sign to search only for images including or not including that word.  Searches are not case-sensitive.

For example:

'alan covel'will find all images including 'alan' or 'covel', and images with both at the top of the list.
'alan +covel'will find only images with the word 'covel', images with 'alan' too will be at the top.
'alan -covel'will find only images including the word 'alan' without 'covel'.

You can also add date limits in the form '<2m' (less than two months old), '>5days' (more than 5 days old, days is the default if you only give a number), and/or change the sort order with the keywords 'recent' or 'oldest'.
