1920 1X Electrical Outfit  

This 1920 electrical outfit is unused. Strangely it is not the only one I have seen in this condition. They do not seem to have been that popular as by 1922 they were being heavily discounted. By 1925 this smaller outfit had disappeared from the brochures to be followed by the larger outfit the next year. Malcolm Hanson

Kendrick,
The label is very firmly attached and seems original. However, it is the only one I have seen with this type of label. The outfit was listed in brochures as an "X1 Electrical Outfit". Perhaps some "1X" labels (intended for the No.1 outfits with electric motors) were attached to some early outfits, the error realised, and the adding of labels abandoned. Has anyone else seen a label like this on an electrical outfit?

Does the 1x label belong on this outfit? I have a US version in similar condition, and it has no number on the lid.
