This is a look at my 1st saw bench! Been wanting one since 1995. Not much data/research has been done on this rare product of Meccano. What do we know about the dating of the saw bench, the changes if any, the markings, etc. Any input will be appreciated. Do we have a time line? introduced in what year? withdrawn? date changes in bench, accessories, markings?. Its humble beginnings date back to 1923 when a saw bench that they probably "cribbed" was offered for sale in MM. 1st official Meccano saw bench was advertised in Jan 1929 so it was probably out in the fall of 1928.
