Meccano Saw Bench  

These were introduced in 1915 and first mentioned in the Book of Prize Models of that year. The circular saw blade it came with was larger than the one later used as part 159. Given that this could be driven by a mains electric motor using only Meccano products it was a health and safety nightmare and was withdrawn in 1935. Given that this example has a "Hornby Series" transfer and flat topped knurled screw holding the saw guide in place this is almost certainly a late example.
