Meccano Diesel Shunting Locomotive On Home Made G Gauge Track

A friend of mine had asked me to make a Meccano locomotive for him, which could be run on the floor. I decided to make a model of the Janus Diesel shunting locomotive that could be run on a home made G Gauge track using aluminium channels. I am using flanged wheels made from modern meccano plastic road wheels split in half. It is powered by the modern meccano 6 volt motor that is powered by four 1.5 volt battery cells. I have added an on/off as also a reverse switch. I had made a more elaborate model for O gauge earlier which can also seen on my gallery here.
