Riley Roadster
I had gone in for a deal of repainting of my tatty Meccano parts at this time, but it was not a great success - you can see several well-degraded strips here. Steering and opening doors were its mechanical limits; it certainly had no motor.
This model came about because a Master at school had a Roadster, and as my Dad had recently bought a 2 1/2 litre Riley saloon, Rileys were, so to speak, in mind!

Wow - I'm beyond impressed. Were it not for the holes, I could easily imagine I was looking at the real thing - a fine car indeed. I hope you took this excellent model to school in order to show your teacher? |
