It is noteworthy that in 1917, at the height of WW1 (The "Great War"), Meccano Ltd. was able not only to continue production, but to export outfits like this to France. The price increases shown are doubtless attributable to the wartime difficulties, but significantly, the sets were still available. This was not to be the case during most of WW2. |
