The dealer may have had old stock in his inventory at the end of the 20's and the lad seemed to have fallen in love with the hub discs!!!

Yes, they were probably kicking around in the dealer's cabinet. They were new in the late 20's😁.......time and storage conditions has caused the nickel to lift and flake off......Note that there are 1926 color parts too...

Perhaps the dealer really wanted to get rid of the old (and one rather tattered) hub discs, and priced them accordingly...?
