35_MC13-16: Outfit of Unknown Manufacturer

In a second auction I have acquired from the same previous owner an outfit 'The Young Mechanic'. It is a brazen copy of Meccano by an unknown German manufacturer. I was mainly interested in the old Meccano brass parts which can be seen in this mess.

Norbert (and Kendrick),

I have been collecting examples of this system for years and can explain the connection to Meccano. I will write to you directly soon

Kendrick,
you are right. This is the box #1 of that system; the cover is loose but available. Thank you very much for your hint. Please write me via metallbaukasten@nkbl.de

Could you please give the German name? www.osnl.co.uk lists many (over 500!) other metal construction systems, and includes "Der Junge Mechaniker". Is that the system? If so, I can provide more information from the Other Systems Newsletter.
